Interested in the products and resources that I believe in and use in my own home? Great! Check out the list and links below.
I only recommend products that I personally have used and resources that I wholeheartedly believe in. If you’ve been following this site for awhile, you know that I am an extremely conscientious consumer and that I advocate buying/owning/using fewer, high quality things (instead of more, more, more junk!). If you are new here, check out this post to get an idea of my stance on the Acquisition of Stuff.
The pages in the Resources section are “living documents” and are constantly being updated. If you have favorite books or products, suggested reading, and even if you disagree with me, please share in the comments section at the bottom of most pages. Or drop me an email at stephanie at OneMooreInTheOven dot com.
I am looking for the sea turtles that are in your nursery. Did you make these…buy them??? Any help would be awesome. I am wanting to surprise my daughter. Thanks! ~ Ang

Hi Angie — Thanks for the comment and glad to hear you like the turtles. We love them, too! We bought these in 2011 from a friend/neighbor/artist, Laura Bruzzese. She had a company called “Paper Turtle” that she started on Kickstarter a few years back (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1584144442/paper-turtle-haiti-new-mexico-usa-partnership)…she was collaborating with Haitian artists to create and sell this art. I just did a search and couldn’t find it easily on the web. I will message her and get back to you here with more info on current options. Best, Stephanie

Hi Angie — I just got this info from the artist, Laura Bruzzese (following is my wording, her info): She does still have paper turtles available for a whopping $8 each. You can see those (and other art) at this website https://thepaperturtle.wordpress.com/ and contact her directly via email. I will send you her email privately. Thanks again for your inquiry! And hope your daughter enjoys her paper turtles!
