Getting Away and Going Home

Sometimes you only need to drive a few hours to feel like you are in a completely different world. The lake house did that for us this weekend. Perhaps it was the sense of isolation, and the lack of work and school schedules, and all of us together 24/7 again. Perhaps it was just living in a different space than our house. Whatever it was, we’re thankful for this trip and the sense of rejuvenation it gave us.

Of course, getting away can be a lovely treat. And getting away makes coming home a special thing, too. The weather has cooled off quite a bit (highs in 50’s today and tomorrow!) but we’re still enjoying walks around our ‘hood.

Happy November (and a belated Feliz Dia de Los Muertos)!
