If you’re eating kale:
- I don’t care if you have green stuff in your teeth.
- I am happy to see kale all over your face.
- Sure, you can wonder around the living room for 30 minutes after dinner (instead of sitting down at the table), leaving a trail of kale confetti.
- It is music to our ears when you run into the kitchen demanding ‘More kale chips, please!’ in your loud, sing-song voice.
Our kale has been booming all summer long! We’re growing the flat-leafed Lacinato kale this year. We eat it raw in salads, cooked in soups and stir-fries, and baked into crispy, delightful kale chips. Whatever you do, please do NOT buy pre-made kale chips at a store because that will likely give you the impression that they are icky. You can easily make your own with fresh kale, bought at the grocery store or pulled out of a garden. Here is hoping that you have kale in your teeth!
