Have I mentioned that Mia is really into dresses? She wants to wear dresses ALL THE TIME…even to bed (alas, this may result in tears when we do not oblige her wish for wearing a dress to bed). She definitely wears dresses when feeding the chickens.
There is one photo in this batch when she is NOT wearing a dress: that is post-bath, pre-bed time in her bathrobe. How adorable is that?
- Feeding chickens is one of her favorite tasks
- She is learning the art of throwing out handfuls of “scratch” as opposed to dumping all of it on the ground in one spot.
- Mia and two friends swinging in the hammock!
- New gate that Papa built for our chicken yard
- Opening and closing the gate
- Open and close, again and again.
- This is Mia telling the chickens what to do (or more likely what NOT to do)
- Bathrobe cuteness
What else is new? Her 10th tooth (bottom right molar) made its first appearance last Sunday. It is conveniently located right below her 9th tooth (top right molar) so her chewing capacity just went way up.
Tonight at dinner, she asked for more broccoli at least three times! And she said “I like broccoli” several times, too, while we were talking about the “pretty broccoli flower”. Wish I had captured that on video! She prefers to bite off the flower top and discard the stem (which means, of course, giving it to Mama or Papa) though she even ate a few of the stems. She also ate all the carrots but picked out the chard, celery and snow peas. Works for me!
That’s all for now. Hope you all eating plenty of beautiful broccoli!
