Eleven Years!

Eleven years ago today, I married my best friend.

Our wedding day: barefoot on the beach at Hawk's Nest Bay, St. John, USVI, May 13, 2000

It’s always risky business to truly love someone because it exposes your vulnerabilities.  Along the way, it has certainly revealed many of my weak spots.  Regardless of the risk, loving Aaron has been and continues to be so worth it!  I feel fortunate to grow with, learn from, and experience life with him.

Eleven years ago, we acknowledged the risks that are inherent to love and made a commitment to each other.  Recently, we decided to accept the risks inherent in having and raising a child.  Any parent knows how scary it can be to love someone as much as you love your child.  We haven’t even met our little person yet but we already love him/her immensely.  It’s a sublime feeling.  We know it won’t be easy but we’re confident that (1) we can do it together and (2) it will be worth it.  Based on our 15 years together, I’m guessing we’re going to have a pretty darn good time on the way.  What an adventure this will be!  And I couldn’t possibly dream up a better person to share it with than you, Aaron.  Happy Anniversary, my Love!
